Method and Apparatus for Enhanced Online Learning

Overview

iAdapt technology as described herein may be used to improve the quality of online education. iAdapt may include embodiments including a Visualize Contributors & Complicators, which may include real-time visualization of students who enhance the online discussion (i.e., contributors) and students who introduce off topic conversation (i.e., complicators). Discussion Filtering may be used and include an intuitive interface for faculty to view and grade student discussion board posts. Social Notification Service may be used, which includes a service to publish notifications to social media sites to alert students of course-related events. Assignment Prediction may be used to predict students' actions including how a student may perform on an assignment. Cross-Course Q&A Discussion Boards may include retaining a history of questions and previous posted answers. Learning management may be used to ensure that the user is provided with appropriate supplemental information and pace of learning.
