enAble Games

Company Background

enAble Games was created to offer an innovative suite of active video games (AVG) to support physical therapy for children and adults with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular conditions. It was founded by Drexel University professors in Digital Media and Physical Therapy bringing their knowledge and experience as an expert game designer with 30 years  running digital games and simulation businesses, and as an expert clinician and physical therapist researcher.

The Drexel licensee has developed a robust AVG platform that offers fun and challenging games for players with disabilities. Flexible gaming parameters enable each game to be adjusted locally or remotely to best fit therapy goals or the individual physical capabilities of any player, with digital data access to track improvements. The company technology features a patent-pending motion mapping system that enables each game to be controlled by a variety of different body movements chosen by the player, patient, clinician, or family care provider. The core technology also offers a fast, easy code development engine for modification of other video games to reach people with disabilities who need motion-based controls.
