Erythritol-Based Insecticides for Pest Control

Overview

This technology is a human and mammal-safe insecticide incorporating erythritol for effective control of various insect pests.

The innovative formulations developed in a Drexel research lab use erythritol, a sugar alcohol, as the primary active ingredient to combat a wide range of pests including termites, mosquitoes, ants, and flies. Some compositions include additional components like sucrose and glycerol to enhance efficacy. The formulations can be used as suspension concentrates, gels, and other forms suitable for a variety of pest control applications.
