Computer-implemented methods of promoting patient compliance with one or more recommended treatments or screening regimens

ChartWorm

Physicians are busier than ever with no time to enroll their patients in the clinical trials that might be of benefit to all. The result? Disproportionately low numbers of under-represented minorities are recruited, some sites enroll one or no patients, 85% of clinical trials fail to retain enough patients, and 80% of trials fail to finish on time.  ChartWorm is trying to re-invent the clinical trial landscape by giving the patient in your office or hospital the opportunity to review the clinical trials and studies that may interest or benefit them and others. It's simple -  direct your patients to the ChartWorm app where they complete simple demographics and answer a few questions to determine their health interests. These interests are matched with a database of research studies in which they might participate. The patient can look through the studies and trials that your health system offers. If they find a study they are interested in, they can activate the ChartWorm app to aggregate a personal health record from their patient portals and send it to the investigator to see if they qualify.  The ChartWorm team is Dr. Richard Hamilton, Chair of Emergency Medicine at Drexel and an active clinical investigator who understands the clinical trial landscape and patient enrollment challenges, and Anup Raina, a serial entrepreneur healthcare executive with operational experience at Siemens & Wipro.
