Plasma Licensing Authority

Company Background

We intend to become the leading edge of transformation into a new awareness and our company, Plasma Licensing Authority, (PLA) was created to actualize commercial applications of cold plasma technology pioneered at the Nyheim Plasma Institute. We are dedicated to applying these next generation advancements to address the integrity and ongoing durability of our entire food chain continuum. We are at the frontier and vanguard of achieving that which had been previously considered unattainable in food sanitization. That is, bacterial remediation, food pathogen mitigation, and future negation of pesticides as additives. Our utilization of plasma based interventional methodologies will demonstrate their superiority by providing a far healthier production process, longer product shelf life, and an extended period of nutrient-retention. All in service of end-consumer protections and greatly enhanced, critically needed, health awareness.

Our current national $5 trillion annual agricultural and food production paradigms are broken and with big picture trends like population booms, mass urbanization, and climate change looming large, we are in a food and natural resource consumption crisis that undermines our basic human necessities. New solutions for feeding our planet without toxins and pesticides are imperative for the conservation of our global collective. Reimagining for a sustainable future is at the core of PLA’s mission.

We are committed to the tasks inherent to becoming a fertile hub for revolutionary high-tech urban farming organizations spearheading a bevy of new technologies. Plasma provides solutions for local plant cultivation and agriculture-safety at a fraction of the environmental and social cost of current practices. We do not set out to disrupt; rather, to create a preservation-based model that will enhance productivity, natural resource conservation, crop yields, harvest cycles, and foodborne pathogen mitigation.

Our main focus is the sanitization and microbial mitigation of food borne pathogens. Our work is directly related to food processing hygiene and elimination of foodborne pathogens at the origins of contamination. The consumer health threats that currently bedevil us may well be a thing of the past using a variety of our plasma technologies as the leading edge of this solution set.

In summary, we intend to become the leading edge of transformation into a new awareness and advocate technologies that will transform the way we grow, cultivate, wash, protect, and manage our food creation & logistical management processes.
